The day after my mother reached 100 pounds after being ill for a year, is the day she returned back to public speaking. Here is what she had to say.
During the pandemic my mother who is 79 years old, has Parkinson's and survived 3 Indian Residential schools broke both of her hips. The lowest her weight had reached was 70 pounds. After walking through the dark doors of Covid-19 and the trauma of two broken hips, you can imagine we had lots to celebrate and be happy about. This podcast has Mom and I speak about our Kwantlen law of Happiness. How we go to our Elders to find and strive for happiness during the most difficult times in our lives.
Thank you for showing up authentically and graciously. You are gifted in oration and generous with your time. Keep being you.”
